Cracks NEET at 64 years of age


Jaya Kishore Pradhan of bargarh district, a retired deputy manager of SBI(State Bank of India) from Odisha has cleared the prestigious NEET examination. His age is 64 and he has taken admission in Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) for MBBS course.

He has proved that it is never too late to achieve something that you desire. According to him earlier in his childhood even he had the dream to crack this exam, but he was failed to do so after completing his internediate studies. Later he pursued BSc course in Physics. But he never gave up on his desire to go in the field of medicine.

He gave his final shot at the examination after he retired from his job in 2016. This time he qualified the exam and took admission in a government run institution.

 According to Pradhan after completing the course he would love to provide free medical facilities to poor people.

Pradhan has set an example for the coming generation by proving the fact that age is just a number. There is no age limit for your dreams to come true. He is an inspiration for today's youth.
Many experts are marking this as an important event in the history of this examination. According to some people, Pradhan is the oldest person to take admission in MBBS.

He said that earlier he had planned to quit his job and follow his dream, but he couldn't quit his job because of family responsibilities. There is no upper limit on age to join the college and Supreme Court of India also allowed studenta above 25 to appear in NEET medical exam.

He thought of appearing for the exam after he was prearing his daughter for NEET in 2016. Pradhan's wife is a pharmacist and his son is studying in class 10th. His whole family had been sypportive and helpful along his journey to fulfil his dreams. Pradhan is not worried about getting a job he will try to give his midcal services free to those in need.
